TONI BRAXTON IS ABLE

TO BREATHE AGAIN

At the end of 2010, American songstress

Toni Braxton was reported having filed

for bankruptcy for a second time, citing

millions of dollars of debt and financial

problems. Like many other celebrities it

wasn’t down to overspending, but the

discovery of a heart condition that forced

her to cancel a series of Las Vegas shows

at the last minute.

The filing resulted in the six-time Grammy

Award winner as having to sell her assets

to pay off debts, which were listed in

court records as ranging between

$10m and $50m.

She told America’s Huffington Post: “It

was my health that led to my financial

troubles. I had to file for bankruptcy to

stop people coming after me.”

Fearful of being sued by promoters, as is

the ‘American way’, she knew it was the

safest option for her, stating: “Bankruptcy

rules and financial laws are there to

protect you.”

Attempting to get her finances back on

track, her new album Pulse is out now.

EMPTY POCKETS NEVER HELD ANYONE BACK.

ONLY EMPTY HEADS AND EMPTY HEARTS CAN DO THAT.
